James 3:17 ESV HOW WE ARE TO SPEAK The world can’t see the attitude of our hearts. All it can see is what is produced by what’s in our hearts. - Our words are to be continually spoken in grace. Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen. Ephesians 4:29 NIV - Our words are to be “seasoned with salt”. - Our words give an appropriate response to people.
